EASTERN EQUATORIA GETS 600 THOUSAND US DOLARS FOR ROADS

Information Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in conjunction with the government of South Sudan approved a total of 600 thousand US Dollars for road construction in Eastern Equatoria.

Eastern Equatoria state minister for Transport and Roads, Peter Otim Karlo, told Emmanuel Radio that the highways in the state were in bad shape needing urgent repairs for speedy service delivery to the community.

Mr. Otim said feeder roads including Torit-Ikwoto, Torit-Imekejek, Kapoeta East-Lotimor were to be repaired.

The minister added that a company was awarded a contract to construct the Owinykibul-Uganda and Torit- Magwi roads.
