The new Central Equatoria minister for health said downsizing of employees would not affect capable medical officials.
Minister Emmanuel Ija Baya told SCR News that cuts on his ministry’s staff would only affect unclassified personnel and not medical assistants, laboratory assistants and any capable medical personnel.Dr. Ija explained that his office would encourage the Health Science Training Institute to produce more health workers.
Dr. Ija said the newly graduated medical personnel from the health science Training Institute in Juba would be employed to work in the rural areas.
On Saturday, 2080 medical personnel were graduated from the Health Science Training Institute in Juba.
