Officials from the ministries in charge of crude and industry at state level were briefed on managing oil and gas revenues in federations.
George Anderson, President of the Forum of Federations, directed the briefing attended by over 60 people.Mr. Anderson told SCR News that he shared with the officials how other federal countries with oil manage their resources and the axing issues like ownership, taxing and sharing of revenue.
Mr. Anderson added that oil and revenues were important issues that needed to be considered when the officials were making choices.
The briefing was attended by officials from the Southern Sudan Fiscal, Financial Allocation and Monitoring Commission, the international development community, academia, civil society, and oil companies in south Sudan.
