CORRUPTION IN SOUTH SUDAN NOT WORST CASE SCENARIO

Corruption in south Sudan is not as bad as it is said and did not reach yet its worst scenario.

This is the opinion of Deng Deng Hoc Yai, the executive director of Southern Sudan Anti-Corruption Commission.

Mr. Deng told SCR News that corruption was magnified and misrepresented as widespread and rampant in the region.

Mr. Deng said south Sudan is in a lucky position as the anti-corruption commission was establishment during the early days of its institutions.

He urged the commission and governmental officials not be complacent and called for team work in fighting corruption.

Mr. Deng added that the means to deal with corruption effectively were auditing government systems and carrying out corruption risk assessments regularly to ensure that they are up to date and are corruption prove.
