A plane carrying passengers for Uganda clashed against a small tree while taking off at Yei airstrip.

On Saturday morning, an Eagle Air aircraft leaving for Entebbe-Uganda with six people on board lost control and knocked against a young coconut tree.

No one was injured in the incident although the plane suffered some damage in its wings.

Okello Andrew, Eagle Air manger in Yei, told Easter Radio that he did not know the cause for the crash.

Mr. Okello added that it was the first time one of his planes lost control since Eagle was operation in Yei.

An Eagle engineer said that there was no technical problem with the aircraft.

One passenger said she was traumatized by the scary incident and thanked God for saving their lives.
