Eastern Equatoria Governor appointed six County Commissioners while the nomination of another two is still pending.
The new leaders for Ikwoto, Kapoeta North, East and South, Magwi and Torit took the oath of office yesterday in Torit, Emmanuel Radio reported.The Acting President of Eastern Equatoria High Court, Justice Pheiji Daduop Deng Deng, took the new commissioners through the swearing process.
Commissioners for Budi and Lafon/Lopa Counties are yet to be appointed.
The Catholic Radio Network (CRN) is a media project constituted by community-based radio stations broadcasting in Frequency Modulation from Juba, Yei, Torit, Yambio, Rumbek, Tonj, Wau, and Malakal. Due to the heterogeneous realities of South Sudan, each station is rooted in its locality and broadcasts locally produced culture-sensitive programs in the languages which are understood by the local people. For its outreach, CRN has a potential audience of about seven million people, considering the influx of returnees to South Sudan after the Sudan Population Census 2008.
