There are reports of increasing tension in Malakal town, Upper Nile state, between the SPLA and SPLM-DC supporters.
Upper Nile SPLM-DC chairman, Edward Anthony Nyawello, accused SPLA soldiers of arresting its officials including MP Mustafa Gai on Saturday, SRS reported.Mr. Nyawello mentioned that the MP was arrested together with other SPLM-DC members.
He accused the SPLA to mass arrests of SPLM-DC members in Malakal.
Mr. Nyawello said that the officers carrying out the arrests use SPLA vehicles which prove that they are from the SPLA.
