GOVERNOR VOWS TO PROSECUTE ROAD ATTACK CULPRITS

Eastern Equatoria Governor vowed to take court action against perpetrators of last Friday’s road attack along Torit-Kapoeta high way that left at least four dead.

Governor Louis Lobong Lojore told the congregation at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, in Torit, yesterday, that a group of unknown individuals intended to cause chaos in the state.

On Frdiay evening two civilians and one soldier were killed on two road attacks.

Mr. Lobong told the journalists at a press briefing in Torit that the assailants attacked and exchanged fire with the security personnel deployed in the area on Saturday.

He said some civilians were injured during the cross-fire between the security and the attackers and one criminal was shot dead.

Mr. Lobong called on citizens to be calms and pledged that the security forces would pursue and arrest the suspects to face the court of law.

The governor warned that the security personnel were ready to deal with anybody who intended to cause instability in Eastern Equatoria.
