Bakhita Radio is back on air in Juba after two days of silence caused by a thunder storm that burnt some components of its transmitter.
The Directress of Bakhita Radio, Cecilia Sierra Salcido, told SCR News that the problem was rectified and listeners can enjoy again the company of their favourite station.Sr. Cecilia explained that she ordered a spare transmitter to avoid any similar forced silence in the future.
This was the second transmitter burnt in one month.
Since its establishment three years ago, Bakhita radio did not go off air for more than a few hours and this was the worst incident the station faced.
