Nine people died in Budi County from what was suspected to be an outbreak of meningitis in the last two weeks.
Former Budi County Commissioner, Fr. Maurice Loguti, told Emmanuel that the bodyguard of a paramount chief and two children were the most recent victims of the killer disease.Fr. Loguti appealed for a technical team to verify the mysterious disease with the help of medical doctors on ground.
He added that the outbreak of the mysterious killer disease caused panic in the area.
Fr. Loguti said the last cases of meningitis in Budi County were registered in 1995 and NGOs provided medical services combated the outbreak.
