The SPLA announced that it killed eight rebels and captured 13 in a clash with a renegade Colonel in Unity State.
One SPLA soldier died in the battle.Colonel Galuak Gai is one of three SPLA officers who revolted contesting the results of April elections.
SPLA spokesperson Kuol Deim Kuol said yesterday that the SPLA was in hot pursuit of Mr. Gatluak and were still following him with instructions to capture him dead or alive.
He added that the renegade Colonel had some 350 armed men with him.
