The leader of the Umma Party for Reform and Renewal called on political parties in Sudan to work for unity of the country.
Mubarak Alfadil al-Mahdi said cessation of the south might threaten the future of Sudan and called on political parties to keep the country united, SRS reported.Mr. al-Mahdi noted that the country was threatened by disintegration and if the south seceded other parts would go.
He added that the north and the south must work together as one people if the country was to remain united.
