HOSPITAL ADMINSTRATOR LAMENTS POOR STAFF REWARDS

A hospital administrator said staff at his institution was not receiving enough rewards for the work they were discharging.

Dr. Daniel Dabi Nathaniel is the Acting Administrator of El Saba Children Hospital in Juba. He told SCR News that hospital staff does not receive house allowances and overtime pay.

Dr. Dabi said the medical personnel deserve overtime pay because they work from morning throughout the night.

Dr. Dabi urged government to support the hospital’s employees in order to carry out their duties with enthusiasm.

He said if workers are supported they may perform better.

El Saba children hospital is the only Children Hospital in south Sudan.

It was established by the government of Kuwait and managed by Dawa Islamia.

In 2008, Central Equatoria government took it from that non governmental organization.
