Yei pregnant women are not willing to attend antenatal care due to pressure from traditional birth attendants.
Florence Gune is Yei Civil Hospital’s matron officer. She told Easter Radio that pregnant mothers only come to the hospital when they reach critical stages and it results into complications during delivery.Ms. Gune said women who attend antenatal care have the advantage to know whether they need surgical delivery or not.
She advised all pregnant women to attend antenatal care during their pregnancy.
