The President of South Sudan issued a presidential decree relieving all caretaker governors, ministers and commissioners of all the ten Southern states to pave the way to form new governments.
President Salva Kiir Mayaredit issued the decree yesterday ahead of the formation of new regional and state governments.GoSS and states ministers and undersecretaries were appointed by presidential decree.
The elected state governors have now the legitimacyto form their own governments and choose commissioners without consulting GoSS president.
