UPPER NILE RECEIVES DONATIONS TO STRENGTHEN POLICE

Upper Nile authorities received financial assistance in order to strengthen the police in every county of the state.

Dutch, British, Canadian and Norwegian governments donated a total of 90,000 dollars to strengthen the police in each of the counties, Gurtong website reported.

The projects will be implemented through the South Sudan Peace Commission and South Sudan Bureau for Community Security and Small Arms Control in collaboration with the state government.

The announcement was made during the Community Security and Arms Control Project workshop last Thursday in Malakal.

Participants at the event called for the establishment of police posts in different counties.
