The Pope reminded the faithful that today’s liturgical memorial of Our Lady Help of Christians is also the Day of Prayer for the Church in China.
Pope Benedict announced the journey of prayer for China yesterday at the Vatican.The Pope said that while the faithful in China pray that the unity between them and with the universal Church continues to deepen, Catholics throughout the world unite with them in prayer and in charity.
Pope Benedict instituted the Day of Prayer for the Church in China on May 24 in his 2007 letter to the Catholics in that country.
