The U.S. relief organization Samaritan’s Purse said three of its workers were abducted by armed men in Darfur yesterday.
The abductions were carried by eight armed men yesterday afternoon near Nyala, in South Darfur.The robbers also stole two cars.
The aid group operated by evangelist Franklin Graham said in a statement the abducted workers include two Sudanese men and one American woman.
Samaritan’s Purse added that it was working with U.S. and Sudanese officials to secure the safe return of their staff members.
The organization spent 83.7 million US dollars in assistance to Sudan over the past decade.
