The Vicar General of Catholic Diocese of Torit advised employees to desist from corrupt tendencies and serve the people with the funds they get for development.
Fr. Joseph Okelo urged the diocesan staff to be sincere at work, accountable for the money received for development and stop looting. The vicar general observed that many workers do not know how to keep records and then they have to waste time to invent reports to their employers and donors.
Fr. Okelo was speaking at a farewell party for Fr. Arkangelo Lokoro, the former parish priest of Kapoeta and dean of the Eastern Deanery.
Fr. Lokoro moved to Khartoum to take charge of his new appointment as the Orientation Course rector.
He will be working with young men who want to become priests and need initial training before proceeding to study philosophy and theology.
