The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) expressed concern that time is running out to solve outstanding issues in the implementation of the CPA like bordre demarcation and preparations for the referendum.
GoSS Vice-Prersident elect Riek Machar Teny told visiting Norwegian Special Envoy to Sudan, Tom Vraalsen, that the SPLM and the NCP should resume the negotiations as soon as possible.Dr. Machar said implementation of several contentious issues should take place before the referendum takes which is seven months from now.
Negotiations were interrupted by the elections and have not yet resumed until the new government is put in place.
