A Missionary of Charity from India working in Rumbek celebrated the silver jubilee of her consecration, rededicating her life to Jesus and to the poorest she serves.

Sr. Rose Clare commemorated 25 years of religious consecration in the chapel of the Missionaries of Charity in Rumbek, Good News Radio reported.

During the celebration she renewed her vows of chastity, poverty, obedience and wholehearted and free service to the poorest of the poor.

Sr. Rose Clare became a Missionary of Charity sister in May 1985.

She first served in India before being transferred to Kenya. She was in Tanzania before caming to Rumbek in June 2009.

The Vicar General of Rumbek Diocese, Fr. Andrea Osman, thanked Sr. Rose Clare for her perseverance.

He promised to accompany her with prayers as she continues with her service as a religious and missionary.

Fr. Osman was talking on behalf of Bishop Caesar Mazzolari who was out of the country.

Six priests, a dozen religious sisters, a couple of seminarians, and over 100 faithful, most of them, residents at the Sisters of Charity Hospice attended the celebration.
