Rumbek Secondary School for girls, run by the Loreto Sisters from Ireland, was described as “the miracle of Rumbek”.
Teresa Mac Paul is the Provincial Superior of the Loreto missions in Rumbek, Lakes State, Ireland, and Gibraltar.Sr. Teresa told Good News Radio that the Loreto Girls School in Rumbek a real miracle.
She explained that a lot of obstacles were overcome to realize the project though the collaboration of many people, including the bishop, missionaries, priests and the volunteers.
Sr. Terera urged parents who have their daughters at Loreto Schools to encourage the girls to graduate before getting married because education is the most important thing to do.
The sister added that the long term vision for the Loreto School is to see students further their education and take up the management of the institution.
Loreto Girls School in Rumbek open its doors three years ago.
Its students come mainly from the greater Bahr el Ghazal region.
