SPLM defeated candidates in three constituencies in the Shilluk kingdom, Upper Nile State, called on the National Elections Commission to repeat the elections in the area since they claim the SPLM-DC rigged the polls.

The constituencies include Manyo, Pachoda and Malakal.

Oyai Deng Ajak, GoSS caretaker minister for Regional Cooperation, was one of the SPLM defeated candidates in the Shilluk kingdom.

Mr. Deng told the press this morning in Juba that there was armed intimidation and vote rigging by the SPLM ÐDC who also manipulated the electoral commission.

He added that the people of the Shilluk kingdom voted SPLM and their right was stolen by the SPLM-DC.

Mr. Deng said the SPLM-DC used illegal registration cards of voters from the north.

He added that the state police forced people to vote for the SPLM-DC at gun point in some polling stations.

Mr. Deng said his agents had evidence of tortured and hospitalized SPLM supporters in the Shilluk kingdom.
