Peace without real development has very little meaning for local people.
Paola Moggi, the directress of Sudan Catholic Radio Network (SCRN), made this statement during an interview with Good News Radio.Sr. Paola is touring the seven stations of the network to ensure that they serve the local community in terms of good programming.
The SCRN directress disclosed that many stations are facing severe technical problems due to poor infrastructure like insufficient power supply.
She added that spare parts for sophisticated equipment are hard to find locally.
Sr. Paola visited Voice of Peace in Gidel, Nuba Mountains, and Good News Radio in Rumbek.
She is now at Radio Don Bosco in Tonj.
The visit concludes in Wau, where the diocese is giving the first steps towards the setting up of Radio Voice of Hope.
