THIEVES STEAL OVER 200 GOATS IN EASTERN EQUATORIA

Thieves stole over 200 goats at Hiyala Payam, Torit County in Eastern Equatoria state.

Hiyala Boma Chief, Oromo John, told Radio Emmanuel that the goats belonged to Chalmine Ogenra, a resident of the area.

Chief Oromo said the Monyomiji have attempted to trace the location of the goats and the thieves, but without success.

An officer in charge of Central Police Division in Torit County, Constable Santo Obulu, confirmed that his office received information about yesterday’s theft of the animals.

Constable Obulu added that unknown people recently attempted to raid herds at Haforire Boma in Hiyala Payam but the Monyomiji scared them away.

He said one Monyomiji from Haforire was wounded during the crossfire.
