Churches in Tonj, Warrap State, prepared a programme using the 2010 World Cup occasion to carry out some youth animation in town.
The ecumenical event is organized by the Episcopal Church of Sudan (ECS) of Sudan and the Salesians of Don Bosco.During the World Cup, youth will view 30 short videos on health, faith and educational themes acted by students from Tonj schools, Don Bosco Radio reported.
Video shooting and editing started in different locations in the town involving different youth groups from both ECS and Catholic communities.
Church and health workers will pass on messages to the young people and children at the places where the football matches will be shown in large screens in Tonj.
The youth animation starts in May with basketball, volleyball and football tournaments for registered teams of young people.
