The strike interfered with business at the Palm Tree hotel which shares the compound with the State High Elections Commission.
Simon Chol, the head of the Lakes State High Election Committee, told Sudan Radio Service that the polling officers were demanding the balance of their pay.
Mr. Chol explained that the officials received money for five days work.
The elections committee owes them seven days plus another additional three days for counting.
Mr. Chol added that the National Elections Commission has not yet released the money for the three days of counting.
The strike has affected the Palm Tree Hotel that shares the compound with the elections committee.
Betty Njage who manages the hotel complained that striking officials, between150 and 200, locked the main gate of the compound and clients remained stranded in the premises.
