The SPLM Secretary General said Alfred Ladu Gore is free in Juba and no security agency arrested him as rumours say.
Yesterday Kalisto Lado Faustino, the manager of Mr. Gore campaign for governor of Central Equatoria, told the press that SPLA Military Police arrested Mr. Gore at home Monday evening.
Asked if he knew what happened to Mr. Gore, Pagan Amum said as soon as the news reached the SPLM, they consulted the Ministry of Interior, the police and the different security bodies and none had arrested Mr. Gore.
He added tha the candidate did not commit any crime and he had a strong popular support.
Mr. Amum said that Mr. Gore was in Juba and he was free.
SCR News tried to check the information with Mr. Gore’s camp but was unsuccessful.
