Loburi Alex William, from Spirit FM, was arrested yesterday at around 8:30 pm while he was having supper with his family and staff at the station in Old Mission Road, SCR News reporter says.
Mr. Loburi was picked by two offers from the Public Security.
One officer identified as Henry Gaga said they were acting on instructions from the County Commissioner, David Lokonga Moses.
Commissioner Lokonga, who is the County SPLM Chairman and Head of the Security Committee, reportedly wanted to address the population live yesterday on the outcome of the election results.
Apparently he ordered Mr. Loburi to be arrested because he refused to put him on air because Spirit FM was broadcasting pre-recorded sponsored programmes and did not have any presenters or technicians in the studio.
Mr. Loburi was released later on and told to report back to the police station today. He was dismissed without charges.
He said that although he was not beaten or tortured, the arrest and detention in the dark and unventilated police cell had affected him physiologically and he felt intimidated.
