Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) acting spokesperson said he did not know that Alfred Ladu Gore was arrested last evening as his campaigners claim.
Kalisto Lado Faustino, the manager of Mr. Gore campaign, told the press this morning that Mr. Gore was arrested last evening with his bodyguard by SPLA Military Police soon after the National Elections Commission announced that he lost the race for Central Equatoria Governor to SPLM candidate Clement Wani Konga.Colonel Ayuen Malaak, Head of SPLA Information, told SCR News over the phone that it is the police and other security forces that arrest people, not the SPLA.
He added that he did not know that Mr. Gore was arrested.
