The UN bought 43 thousand tones of wheat to be used to combat famine in Sudan.
Reuters says that the grain will be shipped to the country in the second half of May and first half of June.The Society for Threatened Peoples warned last week that more than one million of South Sudanese depend on international food to survive.
The society added that inter-tribal clashes are increasing starvation in the area while poverty is worsening conflicts.
