A SPLM senior member called on the National Elections Commission to announce the results of the elections for southern Sudan as soon as possible.
SPLM Secretary General Pagan Amum Akech told the press this morning in Juba that the NEC should display the results of the elections for the southern states immediately.Mr. Amum said the choices voters made need to be made public to avoid anxiety.
Mr. Amum added that the SPLM does not accept any further delay of the results.
Mr. Amum said the SPLM does not accept the allegations of technical difficulties delaying the final results.
