Polling officials in Yei County this morning stormed the Commissioner’s office to try to find ways to get their money from the National Elections Commission.
A polling staff told Radio Easter that the officials did not intend to cause any harm to the county commissioner but only to find ways to get their due.Yei County Commissioner David Lokonga Moses told the polling officials said he was not responsible for the NEC.
He added that the polling agents were desperate for money and he had to pacify them.
County Constituency Officer for Yei County, Fr. Simon Khemis, said over the phone that the High Elections Committee is tied down with the counting of the ballots.
He called on the polling officials to be patient and wait until the announcement of the Election results.
