A South Sudan Elections senior official said the final elections results will not be displayed today as it was announced due to logistic challenges.
Anthony Ariki Lowly is Southern Sudan High Elections Committee acting chairperson. He told SCR News that many states have not yet compiled their preliminary results due to logistic problems.Mr. Ariki said the UNMIS transported polling materials from remote voting centres two days ago.
Mr. Ariki added that there is no specific date to announce the results since many states have not yet submitted their final results.
He said citizens should wait the results with patience.
The results of the elections were supposed to be announced today.
