The SPLM has appealed for peace and unity while waiting the elections final results in order to prepare the next steps: formation of a new government and the referendum.
SPLM deputy secretary-general for the Southern Sector, Dr. Ann Itto, met this afternoon with the press in Juba.Dr. Itto said it was important to maintain peace and harmony.
Dr. Itto asked religious and traditional leaders to promote unity among the people.
She appealed to those who have complaints about the elections results to solve them through the institutional channels, the National Elections Commission and the courts.
Dr. Itto added that nobody should take the law into their hands and use violence.
Dr. Itto urged winners to shake hands with losers and serve the nation to prepare for the right of self-determination.
