A member to Lakes High Elections Committee said the counting of ballot papers would conclude today and the results will be made public tomorrow.
Ms. Victoria Aluel is a member of the Lakes State High Elections Committee and supervises Rumbek Centre and Rumbek North Counties.Speaking to Good News Radio over the phone on Sunday, Ms. Aluel said that there were some ballot boxes still to count.
She added that the relevant results would be announced tomorrow by the Lakes State High Election Committee, if all goes according to plan.
Ms. Aluel urged agents of parties and agents of candidates to adhere to the stipulated regulations, by filling Form 9.
Some centers were through with all counting by Saturday morning while others were due to finish in the course of Sunday and today.
Various polling officers said a considerable number of ballot papers were invalid mainly due to illiteracy and lack of voters’ education.
Lakes State High Elections Committee has asked Good News Radio not to announce any results from the polling stations until the committee makes the results formal.
