The President of the republic will still face charges at the International Criminal Court even if he is re-elected.
An ICC lawyer, Abd Al-Hadi Shalouf, told Sudan Radio Service on Wednesday by phone from The Hague, Holland, that President Pmar Hassan al-Bashir will still have to face charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur.Mr. Shalouf added that even if peace is achieved in Darfur, President al-Bashir would still face indictment by the ICC.
The Catholic Radio Network (CRN) is a media project constituted by community-based radio stations broadcasting in Frequency Modulation from Juba, Yei, Torit, Yambio, Rumbek, Tonj, Wau, and Malakal.
