Voters in Wau are worried that irregularities may occur during the counting process that starts tomorrow and chaos when the results are made public.

SCRN correspondent reports that residents in Wau fear that irregularities may already take place during the counting of ballots.

They expressed apprehension for possible chaos after the proclaiming of the results announced by the National Elections Commission for Tuesday.

Voters keep reporting that it was hard to find their names on the lists, mainly because of their difficulties in reading through the alphabetical order and the frequent misspellings.

Some of them, after three days moving from one polling station to another, were not able to cast their vote.

Voters said they were confused by the number of acronyms and symbols on the ballot papers, and as a result they had to wait long in the stations before ticking the papers.

In spite of these problems, voters’ general impression is that the polling centres were well organized.

They are satisfied with the peaceful course of these voting days.

A young voter admitted that although he did not register, he voted with the card of a friend who managed to register himself in three different places in South Sudan.

Rumors of bribing were also reported in Wau: a woman, who had already voted, was offered while going for mass 200 Sudanese Pounds to vote a second time for NCP candidates.
