The Catholic Archbishop of Juba said it was remarkable how voters were taking part in the elections in Juba during these two days.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro told the press this morning before casting his vote at Hai Jalaba Elementary School in Juba that voters are giving a clear indication that they want to form a nation in Southern Sudan through their ballots.
Archbishop Paolino said the voters are already preparing for the upcoming referendum on self-determination.
He added that northerners have to respect the will of southerners as expressed by the referendum.
In a statement to BBC TV after he voted, the head of the Catholic Church in the South said the polls are a unique event in the life of Southern Sudan.
