Security officers in Rumbek Friday evening arrested a Radio Technician who works for Radio Rumbek 98 FM.
Speaking to Good News Radio on phone, the Director of 98FM, James Magok confirmed the arrest.
Mr. Magok added that security officers accused Johnson Lago Machot for selling audio speeches of Omar al-Bashir and Salva Kiir during their public rallies in Rumbek to the NCP campaign manager for 3,500 Sudanese Pounds.
Mr. Magok, who is also the Director of Radio and Television in Lakes State, explained that the allegations were not verified yet.
He also said that the Minister for Information for Lakes state was not happy with the manner in which Mr. Lago was arrested.
Mr. Magok added that although the Governor of Lakes State, Dr. Telar Deng, ordered the immediate release of Mr. Lago, yesterday evening he was still behind bars.
