The party Secretary for Social Welfare and Services for the Southern Sector, Nora Zangabeyo, is one of the party officials posted to the states to oversee the campaign process that has come to an end.
Ms. Zangabeyo told the party supporters at Eastern Equatoria state office in Torit town that the smooth completion of the campaigns without any incident of violence and with no reports of intimidation was a sign for the success of SPLM in the election.
She says cattle raids and ethnic clashes that devastated the state in the past were never been heard of during the campaign season adding that it is an indication that South Sudan is heading for a brighter future.
