More women registered for the elections than men in Sudan.
This is what the results of the registration shows.
Talking to SCR News, Jersa Kide, a member of the South Sudan High Elections Committee, affirmed that the percentage of registered women nationally is 51.8% while that of men is 48.2%.
Ms. Kide acknowledged that the voting centers will be the same as the registration centers.
She added that voters’ names will be arranged in alphabetical order and published outside the polling centers for voters to check their names before the polling day.
She noted that the overall number of polling centers is five thousand seven hundred and seventy eight.
