People in South Kordofan will only participate in the presidential and national assembly elections, said a member of the SPLM party.
Talking to SCR news, Dr Anne Itto said that on April 11 the people of Southern Kordofan will only vote for the President of the Republic and the MPs in the National Assembly.
She explained that the change was caused by the census results that never reflected the true number of people living in the Nuba Mountains. She added that the elections for the Governor and the State Legislative Assembly have been differed by sixty days to allow verification in areas of doubt concerning the census results.
