A SPLM official in Eastern Equatoria state has called on parties not to use ill language during the campaign period.
Naro Izangabeo is SPLM Secretary for Social Welfare and Services and campaigns as supervisory team leader in Eastern Equatoria state.Ms. Izangabeo told Radio Emmanuel that SPLM discourages violence, intimidation, and bad language while canvassing for votes.
She urged candidates to use persuasion to convince voters to cast their ballot on them.
Ms. Nora stressed that the SPLM embraces peace and freedom for all political parties to exercise their rights.
Ms. Nora was reacting to allegations from some candidates in Eastern Equatoria that they were under threat from people who do not associate with their political stands.
