The Sudan Peoples Liberation Movement (SPLM) expressed its commitment to better governance if voted into power in the April 11 to 13 elections.
The SPLM, the party that signed the CPA with the NCP, has been in power since 2005 in Southern Sudan.Addressing the press yesterday, SPLM Deputy Secretary General for Southern Sector, Anne Itto, said the party is committed to do a better job if elected into government.
Dr. Itto noted that the SPLM will focus on improving security, education, health, communications and agriculture.
Dr. Itto mentioned that women’s representation in government will be raised from 25 percent to 30 percent.
She promised more vocational training for the youth and their access to financial services.
Dr. Itto added that the families of the martyrs, widows and orphans shall be given support.
