The ongoing Second Sudan Household Survey is being obstructed by transport problems because the elections process has absorbed many cars and the ones available are very expensive to hire.
Dr. Olivia Lomoru, Executive Director of the Second Sudan Household Survey, told SCR News that transport costs have increased fourfold and the organizing team has failed to hire cars to move surveyors.Ms. Lomoru called upon citizens to collaborate with the officials gathering information as the Second Sudan Household Survey is a genuine evaluation that will contribute to better family health in south Sudan.
Ms. Lomoru said some places have pockets of insecurity but respective commissioners have helped enumerators to access such areas.
She added that the delay of funds was also a major challenge to the ongoing household survey.
