Over 35 children animators from the 11 parishes of the Archdiocese of Juba are being trained to deal with traumas caused by long civil war that ended in 2005 with the signing of the CPA.
Rumana Lino Bianga, from the Missionary Childhood Office, told SCR News that the training is aimed at helping children to come out of problems caused by the war.Ms. Bianga explained that the training is important because it teaches children who were born during the war how to live in peace with everybody.
Ms. Bianga said the Missionary Childhood has a spirituality and a rule.
She explained animators first have to learn about Jesus in order to teach children and to care for them.
Ms. Bianga added that children will be missionaries themselves after receiving instructions from their animators.
Missionary Childhood and the family, spirituality, and how to know the school of Jesus are some of the topics covered by the training.
The five-day workshop drew 37 participants from the various parishes of the Archdiocese of Juba.
The training started Monday and ends tomorrow.
The team conducted the same workshop in Torit and Yei.
