SOUTH SUDAN DISCUSSES WAYS TO IMPROVE RADIO BROADCASTING

Southern Sudan is looking forward to improving the quality of radio broadcasting in the region through a one-day workshop that took place today in Juba.

Directors from various media houses including private institutions across Southern Sudan gathered at a hotel in Juba to discuss the best ways for radios in the region.

Mustafa Biong Majak, Director General for Public Information in GoSS Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, told journalists that his ministry is planning to cover the whole region with a strong radio transmission system.

Mr. Biong added that radios in southern Sudan should improve their broadcasting in order to produce quality programmes and provide accurate information.

Mr. Biong described a strong radio as the one that has adequate facilities and well trained and paid staff.

The one-day workshop discussed and drew resolutions to improve radio broadcasting across the region.
