KAPOETA POLICE ARRESTS BUSINESSMAN FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF BOYS

Police in Kapoeta South County of Eastern Equatoria state is holding a businessman in custody for committing sexual offenses against two underage boys.

Eastern Equatoria Acting Police Commissioner, Col. Ben Banal, told Radio Emmanuel that Jelei Ambela Mohammed was arrested for sexually abusing the two boys on Sunday night.

Col. Bana said the two boys aged 14 and 15 were admitted to Kapoeta hospital after medical examinations proved they were violated by Mr. Mohammed.

He added that police are investigating the matter in order to bring the perpetrator to face justice as a measure to stop others from committing same crime against the Child Act.

Col. Banal said that sodomy is a criminal act practiced by homosexuals and punishable by law.
