Speaking to Radio Good News, enthusiastic participants said the workshop had made them realize that HIV and AIDS was a global problem and that it was not confined to Christians alone as they had previously thought.
Another participant testified that she knows HIV and AIDS is real because she has encountered a patient with the virus as certified by a medical doctor.
The participants said the workshop enabled them to become bearers of the message about HIV and AIDS to their respective communities.
The facilitators at the workshop said they had achieved one main goal of the workshop, namely, to equip the participants with skills and knowledge to manage their lives.
They added that the second objective depended on the ability of the participants to integrate the message in their personal lives.
37 participants from the different missions of Rumbek, including five girls, took part in the one and a half-week long workshop facilitated by Education for Life Kenya, sponsored by Healing of the Healers.
The workshop ended last evening.
